You asked why Trump didn’t use martial law (assuming that’s what you meant…you spelled it marital) to stay in office. He wouldn’t have done that, because he (unlike his enemies) plays by the rules. The idea of any president (good or bad) declaring martial law should terrify us because it would be unconstitutional and incredibly dangerous. If Trump did it, at some point in the future when the left got back in power, they would simply do the same–the precedent would be set. Trump respects our constitution too much to do that. He would essentially become a dictator by doing that, and that goes against everything America and our founders stood for. That said, I know the frustration; it’s exasperating how the left cheats constantly but Trump and others on our side play fair. But is that any reason to sink to their level? If we did, it would be Machiavellian, and we must not go there, because if we also become corrupt, what hope is left for the US? It would just become a contest of who can out-cheat the other, and can you imagine how quickly our whole country would collapse then? No, we don’t want that, believe me.
