It’s just one more piece of CNN and Fake News

Dear Deplorable: I received your note regarding Hillary Clinton. Apparently, there’s been some sort of mixup, or a case of mistaken identity. Or, might there actually be two Hillary Clintons? To be perfectly honest, I don’t know. But I’d like to help clear this up.

The Hillary Clinton that I know of was, according to some, a shoo-in. But the Hillary that I know of certainly never “lost by record numbers.” As a matter of fact, she won the popular vote in 2016, I might add, rather convincingly. She did lose the electoral vote, but by nowhere near record numbers. These facts alone lead me to believe, even at this juncture, that we’re not talking about the same person. Or, one of us is lying. Both of us know who.

The Hillary Clinton that I know never “spied on Trump’s campaign.” She, herself? Absolutely not. Two individuals associated with her campaign have been indicted for various alleged crimes. But the notion that they were actually spying on Trump’s campaign is more than a little far-fetched. In fact, it’s more than a lot untrue.

The Hillary Clinton I know of was not “bought by all of her donors,” although – like Donald Trump, among many others – she had thousands of donors. That’s not the least bit unusual. Same goes for special interest groups. After all, surely you know there are many Republican special interest groups. The NRA, for one; perhaps you’ve heard of them? And let me assure you, the NRA would not knowingly contribute so much as a nickel to the Hillary for President Committee. No way in hell.

The Hillary Clinton I know of is neither corrupt nor crooked, though many Republicans claim she is. Of course, they have no evidence to prove these claims – and if that failure seems familiar to Republicans, it should. This failure failed so spectacularly in 2016, they tried it again in 2020. Not surprisingly, this failure proved an even more spectacular failure. In point of fact, it was very nearly catastrophic, and the full extent of the damage is not yet clear.

As for being despicable, no; although she’s been called that. But, here again, it’s been by Republicans, who do such stupid things, for whatever stupid reason Republicans do the stupid things they do. Mind you, Deplorable, I’m not saying that Republicans are stupid, nor even that most are. But the vast majority do stupid things, and they do stupid things deliberately. They have to, because if they don’t, they’re not Republicans at all. They’re RINO’s.

Personally, all this leads me to wonder whether RINO’s are simply too smart to be Republicans. BUt I digress.

Now, regarding emails. The Hillary Clinton I know of did, in fact, delete thousands of emails. But then again, I’ve deleted thousands of emails nyself. I delete dozens, each and every day – and the vast majority I don’t even bother to read, I don’t deny any of those facts. Because those exact same facts are true of tens of millions of people, including anyone who has had an email account for many years at all. Deleting emails, including “spam,” is routine, and it’s practically a necessity. In some places, it’s even an expectation. This is true because not even the world’s largest entities, public or private, have systems capable of storing, literally, trillions of emails. Those emails must be deleted, because the systems can’t possibly archive and store all those emails. In my own case, I know that if I didn’t delete huge batches of emails on a regular basis, I’d quickly be overwhelmed by them. This makes it nearly impossible to find and refer back to the necessary, even crucial emails that I keep close at hand.

Let’s be honest here, Deplorable: Do you delete emails?
Oh yes, you do. So, don’t even.

In all fairness, though, did the Hillary Clinton I know of delete sensitive emails, messages that either contain, or have attachments containing, possibly even top-secret information? Possibly. In fact, she probably did. But in doing so, did she break the law? Not necessarily. On the other hand, given a choice between having Hillary delete such emails, or allowing those emails to fall into the wrong hands because they WEREN’T deleted, I much prefer the former. But, perhaps, you feel differently. If so, I wonder how you’d feel if such top-secret information were to wind up, say, on Vladimir Putin’s desk?

Would you be OK with that? Just asking.
As for me, no. I would not be OK with it. Not many Americans would.

In closing, I’m quite certain that the Hillary Clinton I know of is not the same person you have in mind. Which begs the question of why she’s in your mind at all. May I presume that the Hillary you’re thinking of is fully clothed?

If not, I’d just as soon not know it.
