“John Lauro, President Donald Trump’s attorney, went on the Sunday shows and explained to the American public that the Biden administration is attacking President Trump’s constitutional rights in the middle of a presidential campaign.
The Biden Plan to prosecute President Donald Trump:
John Lauro on Meet the Press: “President Biden in April of 2022 said he wanted President Trump prosecuted and he wanted him out of the race. He repeated that in November of 2022. As a result, President Biden has put in motion a political prosecution in the middle of an election season.”
In April 2022, The New York Times reported in a front page story that Joe Biden had told his “inner circle” that President Trump “should be prosecuted” and that he wanted Attorney General Garland to “act less like a ponderous judge and more like a prosecutor who is willing to take decisive action of the events of Jan. 6.”
Congressional Democrats were working in unison with Joe Biden and were similarly pressuring Garland to prosecute President Trump.
Politico reported in June 2022 that “House Democrats” were “upping the pressure on Merrick Garland to prosecute Donald Trump.”
CNN reported in March 2022 that “Democrats are increasingly worried that Garland will let the former President go unpunished.”
Then in November 2022, at a press conference, Joe Biden declared, “Well, we just have to demonstrate that he will not take power by — if we — if he does run. I’m making sure he, under legitimate efforts of our Constitution, does not become the next President again.”
This indictment is an assault on President Trump’s First Amendment right to free speech and to petition the government for a redress of grievances:
John Lauro on Fox News Sunday: “What we have here is political speech, where President Trump is petitioning the government…All of the examples in this indictment are core political speech. Every single thing that President Trump is being prosecuted for involved aspirational asks: asking state legislators, asking state governors, asking state electoral officials to do the right thing. In fact, even asking Vice President Pence was protected by free speech, none of that is illegal. We have the right in our system to petition our government.”
Even Bill Barr during a June interview on Face the Nation said that the First Amendment protects President Trump. “I think the January 6 case will be a hard case to make because of First Amendment interests,” Barr said.
A motion to dismiss will be filed:
Face the Nation: “Major Garrett: Will you seek a motion to dismiss?
John Lauro: Absolutely, 100 percent.
Garrett: When?
Lauro: Within the time permitted. This is what’s called a Swiss cheese indictment. It has so many holes that we are going to be identifying and litigating. A number of motions that we’re going to file on First Amendment grounds, on the fact that President Trump is immune as president from being prosecuted in this way.”
Mike Pence will be one of President Trump’s best witnesses at trial:
John Lauro on ABC’s This Week: “Mike Pence will be one of our best witnesses at trial. I read his book very carefully and if he testifies consistent with his book then President Trump will be acquitted for these reasons. Number one, Mr. Pence recognizes that John Eastman, who was giving legal advice, was a renowned legal scholar. Number two, Vice President Pence recognized that there were discrepancies and fraud in connection with the election. He wanted it to be debated on Capitol Hill. Mr. Trump wanted it to be debated in the state legislatures. But, make no mistake about it, based on what Vice President Pence will say the government will never be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump had corrupt or criminal intent and that’s what this case is about.””
The judges and the juries will not care about the actual law. The verdicts are foregone conclusions. Guilty.
Our society, our country is so corrupt at every level, so without moral compass, no judge or jury will render a verdict other than guilty.
It’s what the last 60 years has been about, our fall into the control of Big Brother/the Deep State.
