“President Trump spoke to tens of thousands of patriots in Pickens, South Carolina Saturday.
Even NBC is acknowledging the massive attendance at the Pickens rally shows that President Trump is the clear favorite in the Republican primary. NBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard wrote, “Until there’s an actual decline of loyal backing like this for Trump or another candidate begins to build even a fraction of a similar counter movement, I’ve seen such little evidence to suggest Trump’s hold is deteriorating in any noteworthy way. This could be a quick 7 months.”
One reporter on the ground said he heard the crowd size was 75,000 people.
The South Carolina pre-July 4 rally comes after polling showing President Trump is the first choice of South Carolina Republicans. In fact, during President Trump’s rally attendees booed both Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis.
President Trump has massive support in South Carolina and has been endorsed by Governor Henry McMaster, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, Treasurer Curtis Loftis, and U.S. Representatives Joe Wilson, William Timmons and Russell Fry.
During Saturday’s speech, President Trump outlined his economic vision for his second term, read the iconic “snake poem,” , and pledged to restore patriotic education to America’s schools, including making sure the history of General Andrew Pickens is taught.“
