Voter ID should include an ID card with the last 4 digits of SS. When you vote electronically, you have to take a photo of your ID and it’s placed onto your selected ballot. You then receive a print out. Allowed mail in ballots, include a photo of your ID. Let’s see who wins.

US Constitution provides that Republican state legislatures can indeed stop mail-in voting.

Okay, I’ll give you that you were over 1,400 miles away from your home polling place. But you should understand that ANY mail-in ballots are subject to being tampered with by the left. So if they tampered with your ballot, then yes, your vote is less valid because it may not have counted.
But didn’t I hear that Republicans who showed up in person on Election Day ended up not being able to vote because of machine issues or something? So you can’t win. Also, what’s the difference between mail-in ballots and absentee? I think absentee ballots are fine; they’ve been around for years for those who can’t make it to the polls (for instance, my mom did an absentee ballot the year I was born because I was due around Election Day and there was a good chance she’d be in the hospital then). But I would never do one unless I absolutely couldn’t go to the polls on the actual day.

I’m curious…what do you guys mean by voting machines vs paper and pen? I’m asking because here in NY we have paper ballots that are fed into a machine. At the end of the day, the ballots are removed from the machine and brought to another location for counting. (I worked at the polls this year so watched part of the process myself.) Do other states have a different system?
Yep, it’s a crazy quilt of different systems around the country.
Hence, at least a part of the problem.
The fill-out-and-feed-the-machine system is close to being the standard.
There are some state/county polling places that still use a touch screen tablet type system (doesn’t sound like a very good idea…).
Setting a federal standard isn’t the answer, since the process is left to the several states, for better or worse.
Either way, there’s no way for a voter to know what happens to your ballot after it’s placed in their custody.

I think you know what is meant. There are those who need to use a mail-in-ballot but for the majority there is no reason to use it. They should be able to show up at the poll and vote in person.

I used an absentee ballot to vote when I was working for my company in a different state for two months in 1996!
True, geography is one of the deciding factors in the manner of voting.
Whether absentee or mail-in, you still need to specifically request a ballot from your home precinct.
It’s a little extra work (hopefully, not recurring), but the bottom line is that you are able to cast a ballot, which is critical.
Military, disabled, and those far away have adv. time to request a ballot. The only exceptions. But many places have early voting too.
There’s a difference between a mail-in ballot and an absentee ballot (military, disabled, etc.).
Mail-in is not just a matter of “convenience”.
Sometimes one-off circumstances dictate the manner of voting, as in my case.
Those serving in our military overseas will always go to the front of the line, as it should be.

We do? I’m pretty sure we only have a week or so (because my very pregnant friend reluctantly early voted rather than risk missing Election Day, and she was telling me the dates for early voting). Not sure about mail-in though so maybe that’s what you’re thinking of.

After all of the rallies you spoke to, many Republican still used mail-in ballots? I’m 78 years old, had major lung cancer surgery on August 18, but got my sick self OUT to a polling place and voted in person. I live in a blue state, but my County is a red County, and I have to say that voter turnout was worst than dismal. As I’ve written before, I’m an Independent who supports Trump. I will never vote as a Democrat and won’t vote as a Republican until I see that most Republicans will make the hard choices and fight the evil that is trying to destroy our Country. President Trump, I do not envy you. If you decide to run in 2024, don’t depend upon the size and enthusiasm of the crowds because I have to ask – what good did all of that do if so many mailed in ballots in this election? So are too many Americans just stupid or just lazy – or both?

Anyway, when the ballots are run through the tabulators, they’re scanned, and the votes are recorded for each candidate, in each race. And yet, you’re suggesting that Replican ballots are not counted.

Who is responsible for keeping track of them? Where are they?
How many flash drives were there?
Were they locked up when they weren’t being used?
